Jarrad Branthwaite opened the scoring with a bundled finish before Dominic Calvert-Lewin sealed the deal close to the hour mark.

Everton were by far and away the more deserving side, with Liverpool a far cry from the quality they've shown for most of the season.

Liverpool have already won the Carabao Cup this season but their title race slip ups have added to Europa League dismay.

They also fell to defeat against United in the FA Cup and therefore Klopp could face a disappointing ending to his iconic Anfield tenure.

Everton, on the other hand, have taken a huge step towards Premier League safety with yet another huge win.

Sean Dyche's side have steered eight points clear of the bottom three despite previous points deductions and a winless run of 13 games.
