Jadon Sancho does not want to play for Manchester United next season even if Erik ten Hag is sacked, talkSPORT understands.

Sancho has held provisional talks over his future with members of the Red Devils hierarchy after being banished by Ten Hag for accusing the Dutchman on social media of making him a scapegoat.

He's been on loan with his former club Borussia Dortmund since January, signing until the end of the season.

The Bundesliga club are keen to bring Sancho back on loan again for the 2024/25 campaign, too, with him bagging three goals and two assists in 17 games.

That includes a stellar performance against Paris Saint-Germain in his side's 1-0 victory in the Champions League semi-final first leg.

Sancho and Ten Hag entered into a public spat at the start of the campaign after the Man United boss stated the former England international was not in the squad for September's Arsenal clash due to 'his performances in training'.

The 24-year-old then hit back at his manager on social media, writing: "I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself very well in training this week... I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"

Sancho was then forced to train away from the first team and entered into a hiatus before his exit in the January transfer window.

The winger still has two years left on his current Man United deal.

Meanwhile, Ten Hag's future at the club also remains unclear with him being linked to Bayern Munich and suggestions new part-owners INEOS will want a change in the dug out.

However, talkSPORT understands the Dutchman remains committed to Man United.

Asked about Sancho, Ten Hag said: “We are close in that process. We are visiting games where Jadon was performing.

'Eight pints' deep Jamie Carragher slurs his words as he does hilarious interview with Jadon Sancho after Borussia Dortmund's Champions League first leg semi-final win over Paris Saint-Germain

“We had a visit with him, we talk with him and we will keep going with this process.”

The Sun report meetings have taken place with now former Director of Football John Murtough and Director of Player Negotiations Matt Hargreaves.

Speaking about moving on from their differences at the start of the season, Ten Hag said: “There was a conflict and let’s first finish the season so stay away from this issue, now it is not important.

“He has the return of the semi-final, in the league it is not going that well for them and we have four important games in the league and the FA Cup final and then we will see.”

Amidst the noise surrounding Sancho and Ten Hag's respective futures, the Red Devils will turn their attention towards Monday night's clash against Crystal Palace, live and exclusive on talkSPORT.
