Joe Gomez is reportedly considering his future at Liverpool as the club prepare for change this summer.

The 26-year-old has been with Liverpool since 2015 and is a Premier League and Champions League winner with the club.

He has played 222 times for the Reds, which averages around 25 times a season. Gomez has not always been first choice and has been often used as a substitute.

The report claims that Gomez is not actively pursuing an exit, but would be open to a new challenge.

This could mean a full rebuild for Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes for incoming boss Arne Slot, who could be without a number of experienced players.

Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara are both out of contract in the summer and look likely to leave the club.

Veteran midfielder Thiago has made just one appearance this season due to injuries.

Even Virgil van Dijk’s future has been called into question in recent months.

The Liverpool captain himself even fuelled speculation by suggesting that he was unsure of his future with Klopp set to leave.

However, he later clarified his comments by insisting they had been taken out of context.

"It's much taken out of context," he said in an interview with Men in Blazers. "To be 100 per cent clear, I'm fully committed to the club, I love the club, I love the fans, it is full taken out of context.

Simon Jordan thinks Mo Salah is overrated and predicts he will leave Liverpool this summer

"It's not about me, it's not about I, it's about us and nothing has changed, five days ago we weren't even speaking about my contract so it's a bit silly.”

The Klopp exit has left plenty up in the air, however, with Mohamed Salah’s future also uncertain.

Saudi Pro League interest remains and a touchline row with the German only fuelled transfer talk.

However, talkSPORT understands that Liverpool are confident he will stay and even pen a new deal.

Whatever happens, this summer looks likely to be one of great change at Anfield.

It has already been confirmed that Klopp's departure will see his entire backroom team leave with him.
