Leroy Sane took the unusual option of not leaving the pitch at half-time during the Champions League semi-final.

Sane started the match for Bayern Munich against Real Madrid, which finished 2-2 at the Allianz Arena.

However, he stayed out on the pitch after 45 minutes instead of heading to the dressing room with the rest of his teammates.

That was because he is currently struggling with a pelvic injury that he is playing through.

This is because he needs to keep moving in order for the affected area not to stiffen up.

It is believed that he did the same against Arsenal two weeks ago.

It seems that paid dividends as he went on to get a goal in the second half.

Real Madrid were leading at the break through Vinicius Jr, before Sane himself slammed home an equaliser.

Analysing the goal, talkSPORT commentator Stuart Pearce said: "Sane has done brilliantly, picked it up from the right, and smashed a shot in at the near post with so much violence."

Sane played 87 minutes before being replaced by Alphonso Davies.
