WWE star Jey Uso shoves ‘out of line’ fan live on TV and social media loves him for it

Jey Uso took exception to one fan and has been applauded for 'dealing' with them on social media.

The popular former Bloodline member has been hailed as a hero for giving the fan a seemingly firm - but playful - push in the back while being filmed during Monday’s episode from Canada.

As part one, long sweeping camera shot that followed the grappler all the way from the ring after his match against Finn Balor all the way to the outside of the area, Uso marched through the arena concourse.

WWE Fans in the area were desperate to get on camera during the live broadcast and grab videos and selfies with the grappler before one took his efforts a little too far.

Footage shows a fan coming from the left of Uso with his phone in his hand, before walking directly into his path and readying himself for a pose.

With a global television audience watching and only seconds to reach his destination to allow the show to continue – he met with Sami Zayn at the end of his walk who then in turn walked the same journey in reverse to the ring – Jey wasn’t to be stopped.

Rather than pausing for the photo, he pushed the fan firmly out of his path and continued walking, getting a big laugh from the thousands of fans in the arena.

As he eventually disappeared out of camera shot, the individual appeared to be taken aback by the action, but wrestling fans on social media have shown absolutely no mercy.

Instead, they’ve praised Uso for giving the fan what they feel he deserved. One post on X said: “Just get a photo on the drive by, just don’t stand in his way when he’s on camera lmao!”

Another said of Jey’s push: “As he should, MAN RUINING THE SHOT.”

“Him trying to get a photo with him as if they’re not in the middle of a live show,” said another exasperated user, with another adding: “I feel kinda bad but at the same time I don’t….I’d be sad if I was that fan but I also wouldn’t be running in front of him and stopping in front of him to take a selfie as he’s working…”

In reply to one clip of the incident on X, which has been viewed more than a million times, another fan said: “[Dude] was privileged to be there and was out of line getting in the way.”

Uso has been a rising star in WWE over the last year or so.

After a record world tag team championship run alongside brother Jimmy as The Usos that ran to over 1,000 days, The Bloodline began to splinter, with the siblings defeating Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa in a Civil War match at Money in the Bank 2023.

Held in front of a thronging UK crowd at London’s O2, the bout saw Jey Uso pin Reigns, handing the then Undisputed Universal WWE champion his first pinfall loss since 2019.

Jimmy and Jey would then go into battle against one another, culminating in a brother versus brother match at WrestleMania XL earlier this month.

As the top challenger to Cody Rhodesnewly-won title, he’ll meet the American Nightmare when Backlash airs from Paris, France on 4 May.
